Bedford Bulls Summer League 2010 is here every Thursday night.
The teams entered are Wellinborough Phoenix, Bedford Bulls One, Bedford Bulls Two, St Neots Slammers, Huntigndon Hawks, Luton Flyers, Cambridge Cats, Nene Valley Venom and P.I.S.H. Boys (last years Champions). There is no more room!

RULES & INFO

All Fixtures are played on a Thursday night at Bedford College between 7.10pm and 10.30pm. The hall is available from 6.45pm to warm up. All teams are expected to arrive promptly at least ten minutes before their games (either 7.00pm, 7.50pm 8.40pm and 9.30pm).

All teams must wear a numbered kit and provide a team sheet to the table official before the game starts as a top scorers award will be given at the end of the regular season.

Fees are £25 per team per game and are payable by the captain to Ben Roberts before the game. The club operates a strict no pay no play policy.

Two qualified paid referees and a table official will be present to oversee all the games so it is vital all fees are paid and no arguing.

Games will be two 20 minute running clock halves with a 1 minute half-time. No time outs are allowed.

Normal basketball rules apply except for individual team fouls (there are none), after the 7^th team foul of the half all other fouls will be shooting fouls. Further any shooting fouls will be charged as 1 automatic point and a single free throw.

During the last two minutes of each half shooting fouls are awarded as two points and no free throws are to be taken. A delay of game technical foul will be awarded by the officials to any team looking to run the clock down using unsportsman like conduct (holding on to or throwing away the ballwhen it has gone out of bounds), in the event of this two points and possession will be awarded to the opposition, this also applies to a regular technical foul.

In the event of a tie a golden basket rule will be used, during the semi finals and finals a two minute overtime period will be played (teams to change ends) and then a further two minutes will be played until a winner is found.
